As demand grows for sustainable and circular flooring solutions, Amtico is the latest commercial flooring manufacturer to approve IOBAC’s adhesive-free installation system for its Access Collection of loose-lay vinyl planks and tiles.
The approval supports Amtico’s global sustainability strategy, “Responsible Foundations”, and reflects a shared commitment to more circular approaches in commercial flooring. By enabling clean, damage-free removal at end of use, IOBAC technology makes Amtico flooring easier to reuse and recycle, whilst protecting valuable sub-floor assets.
A Modern Method of Installation
Manufactured and marketed by Circular Building Solutions Ltd, IOBAC MagTabs® and Tab-It® are part of a collection of reversible, detachable fixing systems designed to securely fix floor coverings in place. These clever double-sided tabs allow fast, simple installation and removal, with none of the contamination or damage associated with traditional adhesive-based methods.
Following comprehensive compatibility testing, Amtico has approved both solutions as preferred adhesive-free installation methods for its Access Collection of fast fit, loose lay vinyl planks and tiles. Easy to fit, simple to maintain and perfect for hard working commercial environments, Amtico Access provides a straightforward solution to quick turnaround commercial refits.
IOBAC MagTabs® are ideal for use on magnetically receptive sub-floors such as raised access flooring, whereas IOBAC Tab-It suits most other common sub-floors including plywood, concrete and as an overlay system over existing flooring.
By eliminating glue, the system supports easier reuse via manufacturer-led take-back programmes. The sub-floor, often the most embodied carbon heavy element of a flooring system, is left damage-free, avoiding expensive cleaning and remediation for clients in between leases and reducing both cost and environmental impact.
