Sustainable Office Fit-Out With British Land

Often described as “West London’s best kept secret”, the offices at 2 Kingdom Street, next to Paddington station, are state-of-the-art and brimming with quality facilities.

With circularity top of mind for a recent refit, developer British Land called on the help of our consultancy services to advise on a sustainable flooring solution that would protect their building asset whilst enabling efficient material reuse.

The Result: We calculated that using IOBAC MagTabs® to install Tarkett and Milliken flooring resulted in:

  • Over £19,000 savings in future sub-floor remediation costs
  • Approximately 6,000 kg CO2 emissions avoided
  • A flooring system designed for disassembly, supporting reuse and reducing waste

Sustainability Brief

The project was featured in British Land’s Sustainability Brief for office fit out.

The use of our MagTabs was showcased as a more sustainable alternative to using plywood as a layer over raised metal access flooring, resulting in less waste, cost and embodied carbon.
