British Land’s 2 Kingdom Street: A Sustainable Case Study

The Sustainable Design Collective are a ‘think tank’ group committed to acting as a collective within the workplace design community to identify developments and ‘best practice’ relating to sustainability.

Issue 7 of their Sustainable Design Magazine featured our recent case study with British Land.

Often described as “West London’s best kept secret”, the offices at 2 Kingdom Street, next to Paddington station, are state-of-the-art and brimming with quality facilities.

With circularity top of mind for a recent refit, developer British Land called on the help of our consultancy services to advise on a sustainable flooring solution that would protect their building asset whilst enabling efficient material reuse.

The Result: We calculated that using IOBAC MagTabs to install Tarkett and Milliken flooring resulted in:
✅Over £19,000 savings in future sub-floor remediation costs
✅Approximately 6,000 kg CO2 emissions avoided
✅A flooring system designed for disassembly, supporting reuse and reducing waste
